Grand Opening
- The new location on East St Mary Blvd offers more than 4,000 square feet of space, including a main gallery, an invitational gallery and an exhibition hall.
- The new space also has six working studios which will house local artists working on their own work or teaching classes.
- Renovations on the new space have been underway since the keys were handed over on July 1, 2009.
- The space has been refashioned “down to the light bulbs.”
- The bulk of the renovations took only 30 days. The rest of the time has been spent working on the details that make a space a home.
- “We have done a lot of work here,” Gallery Director Tyrona deValcourt-Malloy said. “We want this space to be a welcoming and important space not only to artists but to the community.”
- A SPECIAL THANK YOU to LAA members and Watercolor Guild President, Sheldon Blue, for his architectural expertise with our new home and gallery.
